It has been way too long since I posted anything so I guess it is about time I started.
I have been working with Adobe for the bit on the newest version of Photoshop. Now that CS5 has been announced, I can talk about it. Here is a quick sketch I did a couple weeks ago. It is nothing special but just had a moment to spare and wanted to practice a bit more. This is about 35 minutes or so of work. Hope you like it and I will try and stay on top of things a bit more.

Great to see you posting again Don!
Was this sketch also done in Photoshop? I've been out of the Photoshop loop since CS2, but I didn't realise they had added more Painter-esque abilities to the brush engine?
Anyway, great to see the blog alive again. :)
Too long. Do you still use the healing brush in Photoshop to blend colours? I still have you book . great post.
The sketch is completely in Photoshop. It has some amazing new painting brushes.
I will use the healing brush to blend where I need a really smooth transition between colors but as you can see in the image, a lot of blending is now possible using the software alone.
its amazing!! glad your back!!
Will you be posting a review or article about CS5 anywhere? I always enjoy your take on digital painting, and the CS5 brushes -look- exciting... wondering how they live up to what they look like.
Good to see you back!
I'm super happy to hear you were, in some way, involved w the CS5 brush stuff. I was afraid it was going to be all engineers and photographers.
Tony, I am doing an update of an previous edition for CS5. Well, It will be almost all new content.
Hi Mark. It just sat and painted for the engineers while they asked me questions about what I was doing and why. Not too hard. :)
Hi Kris....thanks for the kind note. I'm kind of like a bad cold that never goes away completely.
Outstanding. I admire your skills mister.
