More Halloween Sketches

Here are some more sketches from this evening on the porch. There is the obligatory Headless Horseman, a Halloween Treat, and some poor kid whose mom made him dress up as a lobster. Hope you enjoy them. I will actually try and post something in color soon. Until then.....

I do love the lobster-boy!
What about promoting your books with a kind of "contest", where people paint one of your drawings, and get a comment from you?
Just a suggestion...

Hi Don,
one of your artwork is being used here in a myspace layout for download:

Thought I'd tell you since that site is doing major copyright infringement :/

Hi Don :) I was hoping to ask you a quick question if that's ok?

I'm making my way through your amazing book "Digital character design and painting" at the moment, and I wanted to ask if you ever zoom in with your paintings to work on detail, or do you work zoomed out the entire time where you can see the entire painting at once?

I'll watch this thread in case you have time to reply. Thank you again for your amazing book, you're such an inspiration to me!

Harmony,

I usually try to not zoom in more than 200%. I get too involved in the details and they really don't show in the final image if I work closer than that.

Thanks Joey. I am actually painting him right now.

Mario, I will definitely consider your suggestion.
