Finally, my new book is off the press.

Finally my new book is off the press. I am pretty happy about how it looks and hope that everyone that gets a copy will find something useful between the front and back cover. I have a very few copies on hand and will be signing and selling them to anyone that is interested. Should you want a signed copy just drop me an e-mail at donseeg@comcast.net.

Hi Don,
I hope you are feeling better, wanted to send you get well wishes months ago but did not have the words in me for some reason. I feared that you had a bells palsy = common among those that push themselves too hard. But after reading a comment from a month or two ago it sounds like it was less serious and had more to do with the passages in and around your ear?
Your new book looks quite interesting = I am still working my way slowly through your first on character design and digital painting. Will you be doing any workshops in the near future? I saw someone ask about classes on on digital arts forum - is that a more likely event than you teaching in person? Might have some students and some backing for a seminar here in the beautiful Commonwealth of KY (if you ever want to see beautiful horses and fast women).
Keep on the mend and look forward to getting a copy of the advanced painter book sometime soon! Digital painters need to have someone like you teaching good work flows based on traditional painting technique. I have seen enough undos on youTube to last a lifetime!!

Don, I have just received your new book and like the Digital Character book, it's another masterpiece. I wish there were more writers like you who can explain ideas and techniques in a way that allows us mere mortals to genuinely improve. Incidentally, I had a long spell of dizziness myself so know how unpleasant it can be. Hope you're feeling well soon.

Hi, Mr. Seegmiller!

I have just purchased your book and i find it wonderfull. But as i am working with it, i found a problem and i don't know if it's right to post the question about it here. So if there is another place, please forgive me.

The problem is that in the first chapter, working on the portrait (amazing!!) when using your brushes i can't work with the impasto off. As i put your "dons Oils 02" brush over the canvas the impasto turns on automatically. That's annoying trying to work in little areas, as you tell in the book. How can i avoid the impasto to turn on automatically? I have searched on the Painter Help and found nothing.

Thank you and congratulations for your book!
